Articles always load as read (freshrss)

Steps to Reproduce

I can view articles on freshrss with browser that show unread.

In Capy Reader, they all load as read... which lowers contrast of the font making harder to read.

Expected behavior

should match what i see in browser

hey @decentropy - sorry you're running into that. I recently added a feature (#564) to fetch read articles, and the app does differentiate read and unread with different colors.

To clarify, does this happen to brand new articles too? Any screenshots for both web and app would be useful to help me understand the bug.

i noticed it doesnt happen on my tablet ... only on my phone (a OnePlus 6t). Tablet and phone both say app version is 2024.12.1083

when i filter on unread, it shows nothing... so somehow the app is thinking unread articles are read.

PS- perhaps a separate bug, images dont load either... after selecting load images

@decentropy it sounds like a status sync issue then where something isn't appearing on the reading list but does appear in "all articles." I'm not sure how that would happen but I have a fix in mind that I'll investigate.

What "load images" feature do you mean here? The media viewer, the "Always show images" setting, or something else?

I added an additional check for read states in 2024.12.1088-dev.
