Sort completed tasks #2936
Comments
Thank you very much for opening up this issue! I am currently a bit overwhelmed by the many requests that arrive each week, so please forgive me, if I fail to respond personally. I am still very likely to at least skim read your request and I'll probably try to fix all (real) bugs if possible and I will likely review every single PR being made (please, give me a heads up if you intent to do so) and I will try to work on popular requests (please upvote via thumbs up on the original issue) whenever possible, but trying to respond to every single issue over the last years has been kind of draining and I need to adjust my approach for this project to remain fun for me and to make any progress with actually coding new stuff. Thanks for your understanding! |
Without looking into and understanding the code, just judging from experience: the tasks are automatically ordered by the time they were created. The oldest tasks will go to the bottom of the "done" pile, the newest tasks will go to the top of the "done" pile. |

Not sure if this is a bug or a missing feature tbh - but sometimes if you finish a task, it doesn't appear at the top of the list of completed tasks, but at the bottom or somewhere in the middle. Also dragging that task to the top sometimes leads to the reordering of other tasks in the list. From the behavior I'm not certain what rules determine it.
Personally, I would prefer if the completed tasks were sorted in the order they were finished in, with the most recent at the top (though the other way around would also be fine, I guess).
