  • What changes were made by the various OEM distributions?

    • Examples would include the MINCE distributions by SAGE, Kaypro, Actrix, etc.
    • Any others?

So far:

  • OEM versions:
    • SAGE
► This version is the CP/M-68K release in the repo.
    • Kaypro
Appears to be stock CP/M-80 release.
      • Preconfigured, distributed without source or configuration tool
    • Actrix
    • Morrow
    • ATARI, Inc.
► Now included in the repo.
      • Ported by MOTU, included in (early) ATARI ST Development Kits
        • Runs on the Apple Lisa also, which was used for TOS development, with appropriate environment, but was not an official product or port
        • Likely ran on the Motorola VME/10 development systems as well.
    • LMI (Lisp Machine, Inc.)
Documentated in early (2.0 pre-release) documentation
      • Not sure (yet!) if this was actually distributed to users
      • ZETA-C, Lisp Machine C Compiler, was written by Scott Layson-Burson

Still need to find Actrix and Morrow OEM versions and more details on possible LMI version.

Additional LMI details:

  • LMI distributed MINCE with UNIX for the LMI-LAMBDA, preconfigured to emulate ZMACS.
    • MINCE was present in at least 2.0 and 3.0.
  • Author of ZETA-C is Scott W. Layson-Burson (one of the MINCE developers).
  • Tracked down at least one LMI MINCE release which will be added to the repo.
