Feature: Multiple columns in lists

Have you guys ever thought about multiple columns for a list view when the screen is wide enough?

On my iPhone and tablet it is great for a single column list view but when I have the same app in my desktop and laptop screen there is a lot of dead space to the right of each list items.

It would be better to display multi-column list views if the screen is wide enough so the users can see more items.
