Can't push a charm with resource #849

I can't push a charm to the charmstore with a resource:

$ charm push -r bigtop-repo=../bigtop-repo.1.zip ../builds/xenial/kafka cs:~cmars/xenial/kafka
url: cs:~cmars/xenial/kafka-2
channel: unpublished
resuming previous upload
../bigtop-repo.1.zip                            0%      0KiB
ERROR cannot push charm resources: can't upload resource: unexpected response status from server: 411 Length Required

Is this a bug in the client? server? Please advise.

I was able to get around this with charm attach. Unfortunately I cannot reproduce it on staging.
