Description

The icon in the status bar works fine.

Expected behavior

Like in other browsers:

Context

This was likely introduced in #713.

It might be that an icon optimized for embedding in the HTML code was just copied over to the static/ path and now that it is served as a standalone image source it is no longer valid (or just hitting a different code path).
