Thank you for opening your first issue in this project! Engagement like this is essential for open source projects! 🤗 |
@simonmarti1992 I noticed that you're based in France. Are you using a French AZERTY keyboard? It's possible that, for you, Ctrl+Z is sending the key codes associated with Ctrl+W (close window) on a US/UK keyboard. On an AZERTY keyboard, the key W is in the lower-left, to the right of the left Shift key. If you press Ctrl+W on your keyboard, does "Undo" happen? Thanks for opening this issue! |

Same problem for me with an azerty keyboard also. |
Same issue with a french keyboard here, "ctr z" and "ctrl w" close Jlab Desktop. The only "solution" that I have is to downgrade to version 3.6.3-1 and before, hope there will be way to solve that with newer versions! |
Hello, any update? |
@JasonWeill : this is indeed a big issue for anyone using an AZERTY keyboard, do you have any ideas of how to fix it? Such a bug breaks completely the user experience. I tried to look at the code, I guess it was introduced around this commit: ef17965 But I don't know at all how jupyterlab-desktop handles keyboard events, and I can't help fix this. |
Dear all,
When I use the keyboard shortcut
CTRL
+Z
, the application asks me to save my work before closing the window. If I use the Edit/Undo drop-down menu, everything works normally.
Best regards
Simon
