I have multiple (6 total) radiators that I want to turn off using a scene in the Apple Home app. When running the scene, one or two radiators will turn off, but many will still be left on. Re-running the same scene after 30 seconds or so turns the remaining ones off, but sometimes turns the previous ones back on.

Homebridge is running on a Synology NAS.

Software and devices

  • Homebridge Rointe Unofficial Plugin: 4.0.1
  • Homebridge: 1.6.0
  • Docker: 20.10.3-1308
  • DSM: 7.1.1-42962 Update 4
  • iOS: 16.3.1
  • x2 D Series 450W Towel rail: 2.0.2
  • x2 D Series 550W Radiator: 2.0.2
  • x2 D Series 770W Radiator: 2.0.2

Please let me know if you need any additional info or testing.

@RAS-2112 hello, sure I can take a look into this

Could I ask if the radiators or scenes have the same name? Also is this a new issue for 4.0.1?

The two scenes are called 'Heating On' and Heating Off' and the radiators are named after the rooms they are in like so:

I've only just started using the plugin so I'm afraid I haven't got a comparison to pre-4.0.1.

I bumped down the plugin version to 4.0.0 and 3.0.0 to test. The same issue was in 4.0.0, but all radiators turned off as expected each time in 3.0.0 when running the 'Heating Off' scene.

Version 3.0.0 did have other issues like turning products back on if they were already off when the 'Heating Off' scene was run.

I'm experiencing a similar problem. I have three radiators - across two zones (ie. rooms) in the same installation.

Manually controlling the radiators via the Homekit app work works fine. Automations to turn on heating to any/all of the radiators also works fine.

The problem occurs when setting up automations in Homekit to turn OFF the radiators. Sometimes one of the three radiators fails to turn off. Other times, all the radiators turn off, but one of them will switch back on again after 10 seconds. This random turning on is really problematic. It occurs even if I just run an OFF automation on a single radiator.

Radiators are D series models running 0.71 Firmware (3 apr 23).
Homebridge Rointe Unofficial Plugin: 4.0.1 but I have replicated the issue on v4.0 and v3.0
Homebridge running on Synology NAS 3.0.17, DSM version 7.2-64570

Happy to try and help test and provide log files etc. Would love to help you try and get this resolved because I really want to try and move away from the Rointe Connect app. Thanks for all your efforts on this - it is appreciated.
