This is a very useful add-on. The only inconvenience is its size on the screen.
Please allow for user customization of
Font
Font size [1]
Status bar height
Download panel width, with the options
-- fixed
-- auto (window width)/(download count), with optional minimal width
Checkboxed switching which data are displayed, and where in
-- download panel
-- pop-up
This would allow to set exactly what one wants to see at a glance and in what size, and what after a mouseOver.
Completely unrelated: the prefix "WX" is an unlucky choice. Almost everyone will forget it and get annoyed if DSB is not found under something beginning with "Download...", or at least "StatusBar...".
[1] No fixed minimum, please, some users might want to have DSB on older (low-res) monitors, or to take up as little space as possible. Small renderings can still be deciphered sufficiently (example [2]). You might even include pointers to specialized small-readable fonts in your Settings text, e.g. the more modern Lucida Console (free) [3], or tiny pixelated fonts [4].
