This change, which was added last month, fatally damages the usability of this add-on. By forcing the status bar items to a minimum width, the status bar eventually fills up and stops changing once you have a very limited number of files in the list (12 items on my Firefox, on a 1440p monitor). Further downloads appear off the edge of the screen, and thus cannot be seen without scrolling the (hidden by default) scrollbar.
Previously, the more files you downloaded without clearing the list, the smaller the buttons would get, until they were too small to read any of the filename. But they were still there to be clicked on, and able to be seen being added.
This min-width change makes it difficult to access new downloads from a full status bar in order to open them, and also impossible to confirm at a glance that a file has been downloaded at all (sometimes downloads fail, and one major purpose of this add-on is confirm if the download succeeded).
I would be very grateful if you could either remove the min-width rule entirely, or at least make it a setting in the options that can be disabled. Or, even better, configured to match the user's preference.
The horizontal scollability (which I only discovered while writing this bug report) at least makes the off-screen items accessible, which is better than nothing. But it's impossible to tell if a new item has been added at a glance, because it appears off the edge of the screen, and you have to manually scroll right to see it.
