Use a database backend for the data ........ 8 - 15 points based on amount of DB integration -- max points would be for full JDBC integration with the app. Lower end would be reading all the data at startup and then saving at shutdown, but no integration of the db throughout the app. This refers mainly to using a db on the device. Using a stand-alone db with a web front end would combine these points with the multi-user network points below.
