Temperature not updating for current conditions

Hi, I understand you're working on other things now, but can I please at least get a confirmation that this plugin has been abandoned? Or not? A news site I run in the Chicago area has been using this plugin for several years, and it's been great, but recently the temperature for current conditions has stopped updating. The actual condition text (i.e., partly cloudy, etc.) seems to be updating okay, but the temperature just became frozen in time at some point. Forecasts are also still working, so I'm assuming it's not a general api key problem or something like that. Any info you can provide would really be appreciated. I need to figure out what to do going forward.
