Is there way to make a custom scalar?

I want to trigger hpa when the number of documents counts in mongo collection is over the threshold but I could not find relevant scalar here for mongo.

Is there a way to include an external service endpoint which can be used to trigger the hpa.

triggers in helm yaml for ScaledObject could look like this roughly

triggers:
    - type: custom
      metadata:
        serverAddress: http://<mongo-server-ip>:<port>/counts
        threshold: 10

You can for sure! We allow you to use external scaler which is documented on https://keda.sh/docs/latest/scalers/external/ which is based on gRPC.

We are grouping all of the know external scalers on https://github.com/kedacore/external-scalers, feel free to send a PR if you are ready!

We know the docs are limited but are planning to improve them via kedacore/keda-docs#104

Note - We have breaking changes coming in 2.0 but that's further down the line.
