CI pipeline

I think we should set up a CI pipeline for this project using something like Travis. A label in the README that shows the status of the current build will ensure that users don't clone a failing build.
Thoughts?

This project is actually in our own private CI pipeline running, but since this is being used by more people I think this is actually a good idea to have it in Travis. We'll look at it during the next week, I leave this issue open until we get this sorted out.
