Describe the issue

This starter kit hasn't seen an update in over 2 years.
npm complains that the package-lock.json file is created with an old version and then fails to build.

elixir has a huge number of warnings

there are 2 open pull requests that should already improve the current situation?
Are there any plans on improving this or should I consider this abandoned?
