If someone who knows Spanish, but is not technically savvy and doesn't know how to provide the translations.

Basically, you just need to create another translation file, they are placed in the "ts" folder.
To change the translations just find the English words inside a source and /source. Then add the translation for that word inside the translation and /translation markers. When you are done name the file "botui_sp.ts" and place it in the ts file.

If botui doesn't pull the new translation automatically, create and issue or get in contact with a developer/admin and have them modify botui to pull it.
