#
#[app]

#data/audio/*.wav
#data/images/original/*

# -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
# Profiles
#
# You can extend section / key with a profile
# For example, you want to deploy a demo version of your application without
# HD content. You could first change the title to add "(demo)" in the name
# and extend the excluded directories to remove the HD content.
#
#[app@demo]
#title = My Application (demo)
#
#[app:source.exclude_patterns@demo]
#images/hd/*
#
# Then, invoke the command line with the "demo" profile:
#
#buildozer --profile demo android debug

Thanks for the bug report, could you share the buildozer version output?
Also could you give it a try on buildozer master, e.g. via:

pip install --user --upgrade https://github.com/kivy/buildozer/archive/4183428.zip

Thanks for the reply. The buildozer version output is

Buildozer 0.39

Then I tried the buildozer master (Buildozer 0.40.dev0), but it still dosesn't work and report the same error:

Same issue here. In addition, had to first install java 8 from zulu to make it work.

We got some recent OSX fixes on p4a, could you try again with. p4a.branch = develop and share the logs?

I had the same issue and using the develop branch works for me 🎉 Not sure if necessary, but I had to buildozer android clean before building again.

This worked! Struggled for 5 days and then tumbled onto this. Worked like a charm.
