Hey I maintain https://github.com/nexB/scancode-toolkit which is supposed to be doing some decent license detection (and is written mostly in Python) ... for your consideration.

Thanks. I will take a look and see if it would fit my needs. It obviously wouldn’t support my custom C++ build but perhaps I can add that as an extension. I also don’t see Swift Package Manager in your list. That is currently what is being used by my most active projects.

This is a pending feature request in aboutcode-org/scancode-toolkit#2657
I updated it with a link to your swift scanner.
