Since updating to Big Sur I get the Failed to scan document. error message. Any idea why?

Hmm... Not seeing any issues on Big Sur myself. Does your scanner work okay from Preview.app?

Having the same issue myself on Big Sur with a Brother DCP-7065DN. Works with Image Scanner, Preview, etc.

Not sure when I'll have time to look into this, but perhaps there's an issue with the pre-built binary? Does it work if you build/run in XCode?

fwiw - I had the same problem when I forgot to close the scanner dialog in Preview.
