I was unable to find information around, but is it possible to somehow export 16-bit PNGs (or else)? I'm using Normal -> Heightmap computation, but the output is 8 bit output and that quite limited. It is even 7 bit if we consider that the heightmap zero level is in the mid.

Hmm... I haven't looked in the code, but switching from 8 to 16 bit integers formats shouldn't need a new format? Say if the computations are done in floating point anyway. Thanks for the answer btw!
