Textinput is awfully slow (Linux)

Steps to reproduce

• click with your cursor at any text input field (be it extension search, manga/anime search, code editor or the text field in the "fetch result" sidebar)
• type something
• wait for it to appear...

Expected behavior

instantaneous textinput

Actual behavior

When clicking on a text input field and typing, it doesn't appear instantaneously, but after a delay.
But when the text appears, you can type normally. Until you click somewhere else with your cursor. Then you have to wait again...

Linux Mint 22 Cinnamon Edition

Other details

Gaming PC, so performance is not an issue. Also, works normally on Windows.
I used the .deb package from the Releases page to install Mangayomi.
