@andygill is there a way to say

  img <- scaledImageFile ...
  SB.place SB.right $ SB.column [img, SOMEEMPTYCAVITY]
  prose
  pause
  prose
  img2 <- scaledImageFile ...
  fillcavity SOMEEMPTYCAVITY img2

Sorry for bothering, but this is bugging me badly and I did not find a way.
