What would you like to have added?

Expand the Kustomize documentation to cover the usage of the fields option in the labels built-in transformer to replicate the functionality available for commonLabels combined with transformer configurations. I wasn't able to find the information on how to use it anywhere and needed to delve into the code to find out how that can be leveraged.

Why is this needed?

Make it easier for Kustomize users to find out how to replicate functionality that is available, but not easily discoverable.

Can you accomplish the motivating task without this feature, and if so, how?

What other solutions have you considered?

Anything else we should know?
