Steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Installed minikube and VirtualBox.
  2. ran the command minikube start

Windows 10 Home; WSL enabled;

@Abheestanistala Thanks for the issue. VERR_SVM_DISABLED usually means the hardware virtualization is disabled, could you check your BIOS settings and enable it?

@ilya-zuyev , Thanks for getting back to me on this; This did strick to me after posting the issue.

I have tried enabling Virtualation Technology from BIOS and here is the error I am getting now.

What, if should never retry with the "ssh" driver unless explicitly requested to do so. So that's a bug, ignore last message.

If you have WSL enabled (Virtual machine platform) for some reason this disables ALL other virt technologies from working. I found this recently.

I cannot say the same because Docker engine is picking up the Virtualization. and the WSL is also installed

I believe we fixed this bug in 1.21.0 to not default to SSH
and I do think ur Vbox virtualization is not enabled in bios correctly, please refer to your mother board manual

I am not sure that if SSH fix would help me up, i am sure the BIOS Settings are fine because the same thing works fine with Docker which also need virtualization enabled.
The error only comes up if i run the application with VirtualBox.
