Switcheroo needs more than 10 seconds to open up when too many windows are open

Sometimes it takes more than ten seconds to show up the search window.
When pressing again Alt+Space within some seconds. the search window is shown quickly.

Why it needs so much time?

In my case I have about 400windows opened across ten virtual desktops.
