PHP 8.4 now support argon via OpenSSL. It seems that we need not to install single argon extension.
Or I missed the meaning of that document?

Is it worthwhile or possible to provide compatible support in Laravel to optionally use the openssl extension to implement argon2id without installing the argon extension?
