That's a generic heuristic based detection, basically WD erring on the side of caution since this app hooks windows functions in the dwm to load the luts, which is akin to how malware works.
Though interestingly i did not get that popup.
If you know how to install visual studio, I'd recommend compiling the program yourself from source code - that way you could inspect the code and see for yourself if there is something fishy going on.
Or worst case you can just add an exception for the file, but i understand how suspicious that might sound in itself and you should be careful with doing that with programs you do not trust.
