option to bypass dtrace altogether

I'm getting Error: failed to load DOF: No such file or directory out of dtrace-provider when I attempt to run a program which uses ldapjs. I'd like an option to be able to skip all the dtrace stuff. Is that something you'd consider adding or would you accept a patch for that?

I saw that dtrace-provider is listed in optionalDependencies, but npm install --no-optional is broken as is yarn install --ignore-optional.
