Unfortunately the "scope" can't replace "namespace" as it's already used widely for.. yeah, well "the real scope" in the LESS (see Overview: Scope, #1316, etc.). |
Or a note at the top of the section.. not to be confused with.. |

Hi -
A suggestion here to move away from using the word "namespaces" in the documentation, as CSS already uses the word 'namespaces' for CSS3 namespaces (vertical bar syntax "|" - and supported in LESS as of 1.5).
I would like to suggest using the term 'scope' instead for this LESS technique.
I realize that LESS has called them 'namespaces' since the beginning, so you'd have to insert language like "(formerly called "namespaces")".
