[Question] Token based poll concept?

Hi,

I am searching for an anonymous poll concept only allowing the votes for a number of participants being invited (through mail, messenger, etc...)

So my goal is to develop additional parts to wp-poll dealing with tokens which are unique per participant and expire once voted.

Can anyone tell me if this concept is possible taking the existing action and filter hooks into account.

Is there anything (technically) stopping me to amend it that way?

My idea would be to only display and allow the poll when participant has a valid token.
