Hello, I am Chastity and I am a streamer and artist. I have a specific background that I like to use which I call C0-40. It is based off of the hex codes of the light and dark grays that I think look like a really good background to play chess on.
I can use it on any GUI that lets me add custom images for backgrounds such as Liground. However, since I stream games so frequently, I was wondering if it would be possible to allow users to add custom images either by uploading or simply putting a URL in a text field for which image you want to be loaded as a background.
An alternative would be to allow two fields where users enter the hex codes of the colors of squares that they would like to be used in their games. This bypasses the need to create or host image files entirely.
Also, I have some knowledge of programming but not enough to contribute to the code of lichess. However, I am a graphic designer as well and I wonder if I could participate by contributing art in some way.
Below is an image that represents a way I could like my Twitch streams to look but I just don't have control over the background used. The "grey" option looks grainy and is a low quality jpeg when I just need color fields to put C0C0C0 and 404040 in to make my background of the chess board perfect.
