The qgroundcontrol version currently pointed to by MAVRIC is quite old (version 2.3.0).
I do have several issues with this version:

  • It crashes often while sending waypoints to MAVRIC
  • It crashes sometimes during waypoint navigation
  • calibration widget is older in format for this version than for more recent versions

Should we update to a newer version and/or assure compatibility with this version?
I think it is good to have an official version which is 100% supported

If we update, to which version should we go?

The version I have less trouble with is even older: 2.0.3 !

If we update, we should go for the latest version. It seems functional, except the drone is not displayed on the map. There is a warning message saying "No GPS lock".

I agree we should go all the way to the latest. And maybe spend some time to incorporate our autopilot to MAVLink (at least) and in QGroundControl (in order to have our own modes, etc.)

Until then, FYI I am also using the version 2.3.0 from the branch SwarmControl. I only have crashes when I leave QGroundControl.

I had a quick look at the "No GPS lock". QGC has another def for what is gps fix or not . I tried to replace this in our code but was not able to see the vehicle...
