So here is what might be an extremely stupid question from the non computer guy.

It seems as though. All three useful stellar parameters --spectral type, zero through nine
delineation, and luminosity or sequence--are all folded together in one value or data string.

But what if we would want to search them separately? So what if I want only...

  • f class stars.

  • With a decimal rating of zero through five,

  • and only luminosity or sequence rating of five or six

....Can we do that with the current data arrangement?

THIS SHOULD BE HELD FOR LATER.

Specifically, this has to do with inputting, formatting, and querying the values in the "fictional" fields, and we've essentially never discussed that. Those fields are (largely) still just text fields with no pre-set options. We discussed how to manage those options ages ago, but set it aside as unimportant until the base plotting and routing program is working.

I have notes, and we can discuss it when all the bugs in the current system are cleared.
