Given all of the varied dependencies for rocker, it is currently fairly hard to install and manage the versions of all of those dependencies in a manner that allows for reproducible bioinformatics analysis (eg., saving and recreating the entire computational environment used to run the analysis). In this regard, it would really help to make rocker available via anaconda (eg., from bioconda). Users would then be able to easily install rocker and easily manage various versions of rocker and its dependences.
Are there any plans to make rocker available from conda?

Any updates? Other of your tools are already available via conda (e.g. nonpareil), which has made their inclusion in bioinformatic pipelines of my research group very easy. On a related note, easy to install and use tools tend to be more cited (doi: 10.1101/452532)
