As far as I can tell/remember, this was caused by NVIDIA Game Stream running at the same time.

I'm getting this too.
Windows 11 Notebook 1050
I go through the install, setup user and pass, add audio and video settings.
When restarting the service after apply. I get this.
I do not have Game stream service.

While trying to use Sunshine for the second time after pc reboot, I have caught logs with exactly the same picture as @Distearth did. Fixed it after finding out with dxgi-info.exe that my output device has changed from \.\DISPLAY6 to \.\DISPLAY1 and modifying that value manually in Sunshine\config\sunshine.conf (TBH, having it as \.\DISPLAY6 at time of install and immediate first launch surprised me quite a bit - having single monitor plugged in the system of question)

I have the same issue (failed to locate an output device), but it's only present after a reset.

I can always fix the issue by uninstalling and reinstalling Sunshine, but then it works until I reset. And when I do, it simply won't anymore.

Try to use portable version
