W're using the email notification and just received over 100 mails at a time when a server went down.
It would be nice if the notifications could be bundled to a single email.
This could be beneficial for other notification methods as well.

✔️ Solution

In my use case, you could wait 10 sec (or less, maybe make it a setting) before sending an e-mail and check if other notifications are being fired as well.

I have considered other notification methods, but we only ever use e-mail

Whilst bundling emails could be useful, the implementation would require some quite large changes to the way they are handled currently. Instead of sending notifications when a monitor is detected down, they would have to be added to a queue and then sent after an appropriate interval. This interval could not be too long as not to add an unneccessary delay for urgent notifications. However, it seems in your case that when one system goes down, others go down as well. In this case the dependant monitors PR seems relevant. #1236
