The documentation does not have any practical examples. Like 'using slapd-cli to import existing users'. Also, there is no documentation on how to set all this up it only mentions on how to install the packages. There are many examples online of how to configure openldap but it would be nice to see a start to finish install using the ldap toolbox project packages. Another example is how do use the templates? Is it possible to import user data using templates?

Hi @kbmetz
Did you give a look at this page?

https://ltb-project.org/documentation/slapd-cli.html

It describes every slapd-cli command, and also all parameters of slapd-cli.conf. For example, the parameters about data provisioning using the templates are explained.

A one line explanation does not really say much at all, and really isn't documentation. Also there are no practical examples of how to use templates except for the default ones. It would be nice to see the templates explained in greater detail, as well as the rest of the installation procedure. For example 'After installing slapd, here is an example of some template files that are updated and how to use them with slapd-cli'

Fine, this could indeed be interesting to have more exhaustive documentation and practical howtos.

Did you work on something?
