show elasticsearch version as part of node information

Would it be possible to add the elasticsearch version on the node's information?

I am not sure from the top of my head if ES REST API returns version for individual cluster nodes. I am sure you can get it only for the node you connect to. I know there was added more info about nodes in new ES REST API. I will have a look at this after vacation. Thx.
