debian bullseye (11) update to bookworm (12)

Unfortunately, after updating to debian 12, the application no longer works. The background is that the msmart application is no longer loaded. A new installation fails! This can only be executed in a virtual environment. Here are the instructions from the operating system:

By creating a virtual unit, midea-discover can be run again - but unfortunately not for use in FHEM or HASS.

Is there already a workaround?

Would be best:

apt-get install msmart (which doesn't work)

I don't think HA will be impacted much. Most HA installs are either running in HAOS, containers, or in a virtual env already.

I wouldn't hold my breath. I doubt this package will get picked up by the Debian team.
