Sorry if this isn't the right place to ask, but I just wanted to raise the question of a more specific file extension. The examples suggest .pbf, but that doesn't distinguish it from other protobuf spatial formats (including Mapbox vector tiles). Perhaps .geobuf? Or .geojson.pbf?
