mapnik 3.0.0 ubuntu installation

I have the same issue as #16.
Has this issue been fixed?

I am trying to use mapnik with nodejs. I thought I'd use the previous versions, but I am facing issues with installing the node-mapnik bindings.

Is there another way of installing mapnik 3.0.0 on ubuntu without facing issues? I used the method in the readme to install.

I am trying to use mapnik with nodejs

node-mapnik is installable via binaries which means you don't need an external mapnik install. So, I wonder what is happening with your node-mapnik installation exactly. Can you create an issue at https://github.com/mapnik/node-mapnik/issues with the logs from the terminal during installation?

Oh! I used build from source, which is available only for mapnik 3.0.x.

Do I need node-mapnik bindings installed separately, to use mapnik in node? (Noob questions).
