A beautiful idea certainly. We are working towards supporting 8.2, and after that we will start looking at 8.4. Discussion of these efforts is in the ghcjs-stack-dist channel at https://haskell-miso-slack.herokuapp.com/ .

I started work on supporting 8.2, after that 8.4 should be fairly straightforward. I notice that you put together an 8.4 release as well. However, I'm going to wait for resolution of, at least, ghcjs/ghcjs#666 and hopefully ghcjs/ghcjs#665 as well before releasing anything.

@matchwood, both of the issues you referred to are closed now.

@patrickmn Thanks, I did notice that but haven't had a chance yet to put together another release. I'll aim to get one out in the next week or two.

Hi @matchwood. Any chance this will be ready soon? Do you have instructions for building these packages?

Events have overtaken me unfortunately and have not left me any time for this, though I am still hoping to find a few days to focus on this. What do you mean by instructions for building the packages?

Ok, that'd be great. I meant if you had instructions detailing your process in case others wanted to build their own ghcjs distributions.
