Problem

numpy version for mpcontribs-client is restricted to <2 which clashes with the rest of my environment. Most apps have moved (with very small adjustments) to newer numpy.

Proposed Solution

Could numpy 2 compatibility be tested?

After investigation, numpy<2 is linked to the pint<0.20 requirement. So migration to modern pint is required. hgrecco/pint#2097
