Description:

I use the Home Assistant Companion App on my iPad, which serves as a wall panel for controlling my smart home. I am using the ha-fusion dashboard. After a certain period, the dashboard becomes empty – only the wallpaper remains visible. To fix the issue, I have to manually refresh the dashboard by swiping down to reload.

Details:

Environment:

  • Device: iPad, iOS 17.5.1
  • Application: Home Assistant Companion App
  • Dashboard: ha-fusion

Issue:

  • After some time, the dashboard stops displaying correctly.
  • The screen shows only the wallpaper, with no other elements visible.
  • No error messages or notifications appear.

Temporary Solution:

  • The issue can be temporarily resolved by manually refreshing the dashboard (swiping down to reload).

Thanks. This is really hard to troubleshoot, especially in "Home Assistant Companion app". Have you tried to expose the port (in add-on configuration) and connect directly to ha-fusion? Does it only happen on ipad?

As a temporary workaround you can use #361

Thanks! I suspect it has to do with hass_ingress. It happens on every Apple device with the Home Assistant App, also I noticed browsers a freaking out and hanging in a reload loop, if I enable hass_ingress.
