Ubuntu mate 20.04 start menu

The startmenu logic is broken on ubuntu mate 20.04. Do have a partial workaround. Whats missing is the start button. Maybe find the solution for this tommorow. The menu itself can be themed as planned by you. Will post the code necessary to do this here soon. Note that it might break xfce and even GTK_DEBUG=interactive does not show this solution directly.

Thanks for the troubleshooting, look forward to the code I'll test it out and implement as soon as possible. Also are you using the "compact menu" or the "classic menu", the classic menu works in Arch however the compact menu just shows up as an icon with no borders.

It should contain: 1) a css file - with an gradient replaced fot the through-/button pixmap. - with the code for showing the caja menu side png. 2) A screenshot of how it looks approx. 3) The edited caja menu side 2 png. kind regards and stay healthy in this difficult time
