<section>The Old Testament often refers to other gods. These were real entities drawing power from the evil one. Yet with each plague and the final deliverance through the parted waters, God demonstrated that He reigns supreme. He alone is God.</section>
<section>Recalling God’s past provisions enables us to trust more readily in God’s future faithfulness and His power to accomplish what He has planned.</section>
<section>Nowhere in this song do we hear about the courage of Moses or the swiftness of the Israelites; all the focus is on God, who deserved all the praise. </section>
