Loss in quality when wallpaper is output

Created a simple light/dark mode wallpaper, but there's a noticeable drop in quality compared to the original images I've used.

Is there a way to select what quality I'd like the dynamic wallpaper to be output as? As I'd prefer there be no compression applied in the output stage—file size isn't a concern. Thanks.
