Just to make myself clear: my point is NOT that MEANJS should use Rethinkdb instead of MongoDB.

My question is : does MEANJS core team evaluated alternatives to mongodb for data storage? If so, why do they choose MongoDB instead of competitor (such as RethinkDB)?

@nicolaspanel - We are definitely considering supporting ORMs like Waterline or JugglingDB, to support as many DBs as possible. Do you think that's a good approach?
