Hi @amobrem we tried this before with sass/less/compass each time developers reaction was that it makes the project too opinionated for them. Same goes for socket.io although we really wanted to add this. A blog post for developers with this need would be better.

Since Bootstrap supports both Less and Sass, if we also support both it's no longer opinionated.
I saw less files under public/lib/bootstrap/less. What are they for if we do not support precompilers.
