The prefixes <em>for</em>, <em>fore</em>, and <em>fur</em>
are expressed by <em>f</em>. The suffixes <em>ful</em> and
<em>ify</em> are expressed by <em>f</em>; <em>self</em> by <em>s</em>;
<em>selves</em> by <em>ses</em>; and <em>age</em> by <em>j</em>:</p>

to the next character, as in <em>forearm</em>. When <em>for</em>
or <em>fore</em> is followed by <em>r</em> or <em>l</em>, form
